The Recovery Newsletter at UC San Diego has all you need to know about what’s happening on campus. Whether you’re a student, staff, or community member, you can learn more through our membership.
Are you a student staff or professional staff member on campus who would like to make a difference in the lives of people in recovery at UC San Diego? Please consider joining the Recovery Ally Staff Consortium. Members will:
Members are accepted into the group on a rolling basis and must be trained through Recovery Ally Training, located below.
UC San Diego's Collegiate Recovery Program aims to eliminate stigma, and works to engage individuals on how to become a Recovery Ally through an interactive presentation on recovery from addiction.
Once you complete the training, you will receive a sticker that designates your space as a supportive environment for individuals in recovery.
The CRP is constantly striving to foster an environment where students in or seeking recovery feel accepted by their peers, are encouraged to share about their recovery, feel comfortable asking for help and are celebrated by the community. By becoming a Recovery Ally, you are declaring to students in or seeking recovery that you embody these ideals.
Everyone! Recovery Ally Training is strongly recommended for any faculty, staff member, student organization leader, or community member interested in being an Ally for the student(s) they engage with. This training will be led by Recovery Peer Support workers and/or the Collegiate Recovery Coordinator.
Please see the Calendar for open Recovery Ally Trainings. You can also request a Recovery Ally Training for your department or student organization.
